33-Year-Old Man has facial hair transplant to restore beard growth at the Gabel Center | 3 years after surgery
This 33-year-old man wanted to grow a full beard and came to the Gabel Center to see what options he had available. Upon Dr. Gabel’s examination of the patient’s donor area on his scalp, and the patient’s facial area, he recommended a strip harvest method procedure to maximize the density in the patient’s beard region. On surgery day, Dr. Gabel outlined the area of his face which would receive the follicular units. In total two separate procedures were done, first with 1,084 grafts, then 14 months later a second transplant of 1,313 grafts was completed for a total of 2,397 hair grafts that had been transplanted to the patient’s face. The post-operative photos are a total of 3 years after surgery, with significant new beard growth in the facial region. The patient said that he is extremely satisfied with the final outcome.
